Arise & Shine

Isaiah 60 tells us about the future Kingdom of God. The prophet Isaiah tells us about the new Jerusalem that would be created and built by the Adonai; and attract people from different nations. When we read it, and then see and listen to what is going on in Israel at this present time, it may raise questions and perhaps even doubt. But one thing is for certain, God means what He says, and keeps all His promises, in His time and in His way (Numbers 23:19) (Hebrews 6:18)

The Lord, desires that His followers should arise to (and in) a new life in Him and not continue in the darkness (Sins), that covers the earth. Isaiah 60 verses 6 and 7 of this chapter lets us know that all people would come to Jerusalem (the New Jerusalem : Revelation 21 9 -27) because God would be living there, and they would not only have access to the “River of Life” but also to His light. Revelation 22: 1-5) The question is, do you arise each day and shine for God as one of His followers?

Do you let your light shine, before your family, friends, colleagues, strangers? Or do you hide your light and try to blend in? Matthew 5:14 – 16. Know that “Light is to be revealed, not concealed.”(Wikipedia)

During our fasting and prayer this week:

• Pray that all Christians or followers of Christ Jesus, will be filled with the Holy Spirit , Jesus - The Word and Jesus- The Light of the World.

• That we will let our light shine before men, that they may see our good works [which should direct people back to God the Father] and glorify our Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

• The people who are living outside of God’s will for them and therefore are walking in the darkness of sin, will have a hunger, thirst, and desire for the Light of the World – Jesus. Pray that they will submit to His grace and find a good place to worship and have fellowship with like-minded people.
